Steel ingots

Steel ingots

  • CCM ingots (billets)
  • Fabric ingots
  • Bloom ingots
  • Slabs

These 4 products are intermediate rolled steel products that must be processed in one or more stages to become the final product. The difference between these products is in the dimensions and shape of their cross section.

Billet or CCM

If the ingot is consumed directly from CCM production, it is called CCM ingot or billet. This product is longer than the ingot and is supplied with a circular or square surface and a width of less than 15 cm. This product is mostly used to produce rebars and wires. Billets are produced in different categories such as 3SP and 5SP. Billets are flexible, stretchable, bendable and twistable.

Slabs

One of the types of steel ingots is slab ingots, which, like billets, show great strength. This steel ingot has a rectangular cross section and therefore has an attractive appearance compared to other ingots. These ingots are often found in the market with a length of 12 meters, a width of 1.25 meters and a thickness of 230 mm. Most of these types of ingots are made of carbon steel and are mainly used in the production and manufacture of steel sheets.

This product in rectangular shape, has a width between 650 mm to a maximum of 2000 mm, a thickness of 200 to 250 mm, and a variable length of 4 to 12 meters. In this product, alloys such as iron, chromium, copper, manganese, molybdenum, nickel and silicon have been used.
